Welcome to AI Cleaner (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the App.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We follow a data-minimization approach. We collect only what we need to (a) provide the App’s core features, (b) keep the App reliable and secure, and (c) understand, at a high level, how the App is used.
A. Device and App Data (Collected Automatically)
When you use the App, we may collect the following types of technical information:
- Device information: such as device model, operating system version, language/region settings, and app version.
- Network and identifiers: such as IP address (generally used to infer approximate region) and the Identifier for Vendor (IDFV).
- Diagnostics and performance data: such as crash logs, error reports, and performance metrics.
- Usage data: such as which screens or features are used (for example, duplicate cleanup or contact merging) and basic session information.
B. Advertising and Attribution Identifiers (Optional)
If we run ads or measure marketing performance, we may use standard mobile identifiers:
- IDFA (Apple’s Advertising Identifier): collected only if you grant permission via Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency prompt. If you deny permission, we do not access IDFA.
- Attribution data: information provided by advertising networks or measurement partners that helps us understand whether an install or subscription came from a specific campaign. This does not include your photo or video content.
- Third-Party Advertising SDKs:We integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs) to serve advertisements within the App. These partners may automatically collect device information, IP addresses, and identifiers (such as IDFA) to deliver relevant ads and measure ad performance.
C. Photos and Media (Access You Control)
To provide cleaning and organization features, the App may request access to your Photos library. Your options depend on iOS permissions (for example, “Selected Photos” or “All Photos”).
- On-device analysis: The App scans your library on your device to identify items such as duplicates, similar photos, large videos, screenshots, or blurred shots (depending on the features you use).
- No cloud upload of your library: We do not upload your photos/videos to our servers for these features. Any media processing (such as compression) is performed on your device unless the App clearly tells you otherwise for a specific feature.
- Deletion actions: If you choose to delete photos or videos, the deletion is performed through iOS/Photos mechanisms and occurs only when you confirm an action in the App.
D. Calendar Data (Access You Control)
To provide calendar cleanup features (for example, finding duplicate or low-value events and helping you delete them), the App may request access to your Calendar via iOS permissions.
- On-device analysis: The App reads calendar event data on your device (such as event title, start/end time, location, notes, calendar name, recurrence information, and organizer/attendee details if present) to identify potential duplicates or patterns you choose to clean.
- No cloud upload of your calendar: We do not upload your calendar events to our servers for these features. Any analysis is performed on your device.
- Edits only with your action: Any deletion or modification of events happens only when you explicitly confirm an action in the App, and the changes are applied through iOS calendar mechanisms.
E. Contacts Data (Access You Control)
To provide contact cleanup features (for example, finding duplicate contacts, merging duplicates, or identifying incomplete entries), the App may request access to your Contacts via iOS permissions.
- On-device analysis: The App reads contact fields stored on your device (such as name, phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact attributes that exist in a record) to identify duplicates and incomplete entries.
- No cloud upload of your contacts: We do not upload your contacts to our servers for these features. Any matching and cleanup suggestions are performed on your device.
- Edits only with your action: Merges, deletions, or edits to contacts occur only when you explicitly confirm an action in the App, and are applied through iOS contacts mechanisms.
F. Email Data (Access You Control)
To provide email cleanup features (for example, bulk filtering, or unsubscribing), you may choose to authorize the App to access your Gmail account.
- Secure Authorization: We use official secure authorization protocols (OAuth) to connect to your account. We never see, access, or store your login password.
- On-device analysis: The App accesses email metadata (such as sender, subject, date, and size) directly on your device to help you identify emails you wish to delete.
- No cloud upload of your emails: We do not upload your email content, metadata, or attachments to our servers. All processing and analysis are performed locally on your device or directly between your device and your email provider.
- No third-party sharing: We do not share, sell, or transfer your email data to any third parties, including advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- Edits only with your action: Deletion or modification of emails happens only when you explicitly confirm an action in the App.
- Google API Services Compliance: The App’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
G. Information You Provide
- Support and feedback: If you contact us, we may receive information you send (for example, your email address, message content, and any attachments).
- Preferences: Settings you choose in the App (for example, sorting options).
2. Face-Related Analysis
Some smart-sorting features may analyze faces that appear in photos you select to help with organization and best-photo recommendations. We treat this as sensitive data and keep it on your device.
- Local processing (offline): Face-related processing occurs entirely on your device. We do not transmit face-related data over any network.
- Data types (when needed): Depending on the feature, the App may generate derived data such as facial landmarks (key points describing facial geometry), face feature vectors/embeddings (numerical representations used to compare similarity), and expression/eye-state scores (values used to help determine whether eyes are open, a smile is present, etc.).
- Purpose limitation: We use this derived face-related data only to power on-device photo organization features (for example, selecting the best photo among near-duplicates based on quality/expression).
- Not for identity verification: We do not use face analysis to verify your identity, authenticate you, or build a profile for advertising.
- Storage & retention: If stored at all, this derived face-related data is stored only in the App’s local on-device database (within the App Sandbox) and linked to the corresponding photos. It is automatically deleted when the associated photos are removed, when you clear the App’s data, or when you uninstall the App.
- No sharing: We do not upload, sell, or share face-related data with third parties.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide core functionality, such as scanning and organizing your Photos library and, if you enable them, identifying and cleaning duplicates or clutter in your Calendar and Contacts, including cleaning/compression tasks you request.
